Important Notes:
Admission decisions are usually reached within two weeks following an applicant's Interview Day and notification follows immediately thereafter. Our process is designed to allow qualified applicants whose required forms and complete documentation have been submitted by December 15, 2008 (Round One) to be interviewed by February 28, 2009 and notified of decisions by March 15. Likewise, it should be possible for qualified applicants whose forms and complete documentation have been submitted by March 1, (Round Two) to be interviewed by April 30, and notified of decisions by May 15. All supporting documents should be submitted in advance of the suggested target date for application completion.
If you are a non-Qatari applicant seeking financial aid, you are advised to observe the Round One target dates for application completion. Questions about financial aid should be directed to the Qatar Foundation. You may download the Financial Aid Application Form directly from the Qatar Foundation’s website. You may submit this aid form to the Qatar Foundation Financial Aid Committee even before your Premedical Program decision is known. Qatar Foundation will thus be able to perform a needs analysis so that a more efficient determination of aid may be made if and when you are accepted by Cornell.
Examinations:
You are required to submit results of either the SAT Reasoning Test or the ACT with Writing. It is recommended that you also submit scores of SAT Subject Tests in Mathematics (any level) and two sciences. Subject Tests are independent of any particular textbook or method of instruction, thus allowing you to demonstrate your strength in relevant subjects in comparison with students who have attended different schools and systems worldwide.
You must take tests early enough to allow submission of scores by the relevant target date for application completion (December 15 for Round One – March 1 for Round Two). We urge you to plan your test calendar well in advance because you must register for each test about one month before the test date, and it generally takes four to six weeks for test scores to be reported. Follow the links below to plan your Test Dates and Registration.
