Dr J. Michael Conlon is Professor Biochemistry at WCMC-Q. He was awarded a D. Phil. in synthetic organic chemistry from the University of Sussex and gained post-doctoral experience at the Queen's University of Belfast, N. Ireland, Southwestern Medical School, Dallas, U.S.A. and the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, U.K.
Before joining WCMC-Q, Dr Conlon was Leiter (Director) of the Clinical Research Unit for Gastrointestinal Endocrinology at the University of Göttingen, Germany, Professor of Biochemistry at Creighton University, Omaha, U.S.A., and Professor and Chairman of Biochemistry, at United Arab Emirates University, Al-Ain, U.A.E. His research interests are focused on the purification and characterization of naturally occurring biologically active peptides with potential for drug development.
